Waste Gas Treatment Safety

1. Standard gas waste gas treatment methods:

1. Adsorption method: also called dry method, uses solid absorbent to adsorb harmful components in gas. Adsorbents include porous activated carbon, alumina gel, silica gel, diatomaceous earth and so on.

2. Absorption method: suitable for processing water-soluble substances and substances that react with water. Common absorption liquids include aqueous solutions of alkalis such as water and sodium hydroxide.

3. Combustion method: suitable for the treatment of various combustible gases. Converts harmful substances into harmless or less harmful substances through combustion.

4. Dilution method: diluting the harmful components in the exhaust gas with nitrogen or other inert gases or air before discharging.

2. Treatment of toxic gas

Workers dealing with toxic gases must wear protective equipment such as gas masks and gloves. Direct emission must be carried out in a remote place with concentration controlled below allowable emission levels.

3. Treatment of combustible gas

For large discharge volumes, choose a place with few people, prohibit open flames, and prepare fire extinguishers. Use a pressure reducing valve to control the speed and ensure full combustion.

4. Inert gas treatment

Although inert gas is not dangerous, large accumulation will reduce surrounding oxygen content. Discharge in appropriate outdoor locations.

5. Treatment of combustion-supporting gas

The powder, petroleum, grease and flammable substances adhered to the valve of the container or the appliance must be thoroughly removed before the treatment. It is strictly forbidden to dispose of combustion-supporting gas and combustible gas in the same place or nearby places to prevent explosion accidents.
